Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the WotFilm mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by WotFilm ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use WotFilm. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
You must provide accurate information when creating your account
You may not share your account with others or create accounts for others
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Submit video URLs that contain illegal, harmful, or infringing content
Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the detection API
Use automated tools to exceed your subscription detection limit
Impersonate other users or submit false information
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

4. Subscriptions

WotFilm offers a free tier and a paid subscription (WotFilm Pro).

Free tier: 2 detections per day
WotFilm Pro: 50 detections per day, billed monthly or yearly

Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings or through the "Manage Subscription" option within the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then.

We do not offer refunds outside of Apple's standard refund policy. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support.

5. Free Trial

If a free trial is offered, it will be clearly stated at the point of purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.

6. Detection Service

WotFilm uses AI to identify movies and TV shows from video clips. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy of detection results. Detection results are provided for informational purposes only. We are not liable for any decisions made based on detection output.

We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue the detection service at any time.

7. Intellectual Property

The WotFilm app, logo, and all associated content are owned by WotFilm and protected by intellectual property laws. Movie and TV show data is provided by TMDB under their terms of use.

You retain ownership of any content you submit (video URLs, watchlist entries). By submitting content, you grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that detection results will be accurate.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WotFilm shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
